65° Grammy Awards: trionfo di nomination per Kendrick Lamar

È un trionfo di nomination ai 65° Grammy Awards, in onda il 5 febbraio 2023, per Kendrick Lamar che guida l’attesa cerimonia con ben 8 candidature: Record of The Year (The Heart Part 5), Album of the Year (Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers), Song of the Year (The Heart Part 5), Best Rap Performance (The Heart Part 5), Best Melodic Rap Performance (Die Hard feat. Blxst & Amanda Reifer), Best Rap Song (The Heart Part 5), Best Rap Album (Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers) e Best Music Video (The Heart Part 5).

Successo anche per gli ABBA con 4 nominations: la band scandinava di maggior successo al mondo ha ottenuto le candidature per Record of the Year e Best Group Performance con il singolo “Don’t Shut Me Down” e per Album of the Year e Best Pop Vocal Album con “Voyage”.

Lady Gaga è stata candidata per Best Song written for Visual Media con la hit Hold My Hand tratta dalla colonna sonora del film “Top Gun: Maverick”, nominata come Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, mentre Machine Gun Kelly ha ottenuto la nomination come Best Rock Album con mainstream sellout. Il gruppo K-POP BTS ha ottenuto la nomination per Best Music Video con Yet to Come, è presente nei crediti del disco dei Coldplay “Music of the Spheres” nominato nella categoria “Album of The Year” e sono nominati come Best Pop Duo/Group Performance con “My Universe” dei Coldplay. Billie Eilish ha ricevuto la candidatura per Best Music Film con Live at the O2 e per Best Song Written for Visual Media con il brano “Nobody Like U” assieme al fratello Finneas, tratto dal film Disney e Pixar “RED”. La rapper GloRilla è stata candidata con Best Rap Performance (F.N.F. Let’s Go con Hitkidd), mentre Jacob Collier per Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals (“Never Gonna Be Alone” feat Lizzy McAlpine e John Mayer), comparendo anche nei crediti del disco dei Coldplay “Music of the Spheres”, nominato nella categoria “Album of The Year”.

La compilation “Artists Inspired By Music: Interscope Reimagined” è stata nominata per “Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package”, mentre la colonna sonora del film Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Encanto” ha ottenuto ben 3 nominations: Best Song Written for Visual Media (“We don’t talk about Bruno” di Lin-Manuel Miranda), Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media e Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
